Yr 5 Mock Election
21st May 2015 - 6 images
We were very interested in the General Election in Year 5 so we decided to have a mini 'mock election' in class. We researched the main points and beliefs from each party's manifesto and produced posters. Each of the party leaders then delivered a speech and, after careful deliberation, the whole class voted.
After the official count, George, our public speaker, informed the class that negotiations were needed to see if the Conservatives could form a minority government because they hadn't own with a majority vote.
The final result was that the Conservative party joined a coalition with the Green Party and SNP.
Well done Year 5!
