School Maintenance Fund

Parents are asked to make an annual contribution towards school maintenance. We suggest a minimum donation of £30 per child per academic year, although some families do give more. This can be broken up into regular termly payments of £10 per child. www.scopay.com/login

If you would like to contribute by direct debit please email: admin@stpauls.camden.sch.uk for our bank details.

Please Gift Aid your payments, so the school can recover the tax on your donation.
To do this, tick the Gift Aid Declaration on Scopay (if you pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax). Alternatively follow this link to complete a physical form you can return to the office: B&M Gift Aid Form.

Why your donation benefits the school:

St Paul's CE Primary School is a Voluntary Aided School which means that we do not get funded for our buildings in the same way as other schools. The Department for Education and the Local Authority do not provide all of the money required to maintain and improve the school.

The London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) runs a maintenance fund scheme for the upkeep of the buildings into which the school pays and from which the school benefits.

St Paul's contribution is based on the number of children attending the School.

Recent projects include: complete refurbishment of the pupil toilets, repairs to the boundary wall with Primrose Hill Royal Park and shoring works to back wall (between top garden and school building).

The total cost of these projects was approximately £185,000. Of this, the cost to the school was approx. £17,000 because of the Building and Maintenance Fund.

This is a significant saving for the school.

Previous projects have included:

  • enhancement of kitchen equipment.
  • electrical & lighting works
  • pipework renewal for the school heating
  • new boiler installation.

In Church Schools it is the responsibility of the governing body to ensure that the funding gap is filled. This is where we need your help. Most Church Schools will ask parents to make voluntary contributions to a Building and Maintenance Fund. This contribution is vital as it ensures that we can offer your children the best possible learning environment. There is an expectation that the school will fund 10% of maintenance works. The expectation is that the maintenance fund is collected from parent contributions.

Thank you for your support for our school
